January 2018 - The 2018 Omnibus Solicitations are available - All funding opportunities now designate whether clinical trials are not allowed, optional, or required. NIDDK is not subscribed to the Clinical Trials Required Omnibus Solicitations. However, NIDDK has targeted funding opportunities, both SBIR and other grant mechanisms, that you can find by visiting our funding page.

NIDDK Will Not Accept Clinical Trial Applications in Response to Current Small Business Announcements - NIDDK recently issued NOT-DK-16-030Notice to Inform the Applicant Community that NIDDK Will Not Accept Clinical Trial Applications in Response to Current Small Business Announcements. The NIDDK will allow SBIR clinical trial applications through specific funding opportunities, such as PAR-17-034NIDDK Exploratory Clinical Trials for Small Business (R44).

Sep. 17, 2015 - ASSIST Now an Option for Small Business Grant Applications - ASSIST is NIH's on-line system for the preparation, submission and tracking of grant applications through Grants.gov to NIH (See NOT-OD-15-156).

Dec. 17, 2014 - Important! New Standard Due Dates for SBIR & STTR Applications - Standard due dates for SBIR & STTR applications have changed in order to make awards sooner on average. The next three standard due dates are April 5, 2015, September 5, 2015, and January 5, 2016. As always, it is important to confirm whether or not any particular funding opportunity uses the standard due dates.
